GRIDCo (Ghana Grid Company Limited) is a Ghanaian state-owned company that is responsible for the management and operation of the national power system in Ghana. It is responsible for the maintenance and repair of electricity transmission and distribution lines, coordination of power generation and transmission of electricity throughout the country. GRIDCo is also responsible for balancing the supply and demand of electricity in the national electricity market. It is funded by electricity tariffs paid by consumers and is subject to regulation by the Public Utility and Regulatory Commission (PURC), which is the regulatory authority for the electricity sector in Ghana.
